We learn through our senses by seeing, hearing and doing.
Young children learn by playing and bycopying things they see you doing and saying. You can support your children’s learning by helping them find the way they learn best.
By the time children go to school, they have learned:
• to listen and understand what is being said,
• to concentrate on things that interest them,
• to move around in their environment,
• about numbers and how things work,
• how to get along with other people, and
• lots and lots of other things!
