Card Games: Reading Playing Cards
There are 52 cards in a deck with 13 cards in each suit. The cards are numbered 2 to 10. Then there are the picture cards - Jack, Queen King and Ace.
There are four suits - hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs.

Texas Hold'em is a popular poker game played all over the world. Each player in a game is given a hand of cards. You can only see your own hand. You then bet money and other players have to decide if they think their hand is better than yours. All bets go into the centre of the table. This is called the pot. The object of the game is to win the pot.
